Darrell Holland

Darrell Holland is a 57-year-old husband, father, grandfather, Army veteran, and medical professional who has dedicated his life to serving others. Married to his high school sweetheart, he is the proud father of five adult sons and grandfather to six grandchildren.

Since 1991, Darrell has built a lifelong career in the medical and emergency response fields. He began as a paramedic before becoming a nurse, and later served 24 years on active duty in the United States Army as a Combat Medic and Brigade Medical NCOIC, where he supervised and mentored 244 medics. During his military career, he completed two combat deployments to Iraq, serving a total of 24 months in-country.

Following his combat service, Darrell worked as a Wounded Warrior Case Manager, helping injured Soldiers transition into new ways of living while adapting to disability, trauma, and life-changing limitations. His professional and personal experiences have given him extensive firsthand knowledge of traumatic injuries, grief, crisis response, and displacement-related challenges. Over the past 20 years, he has also assisted in five hurricane disaster relief operations.

Like many who spend their lives helping others through trauma, Darrell personally faced challenges from the cumulative effects of those experiences. Through MEMI sessions, he found significant relief from some of his most traumatic memories and learned healthier ways to process stress, relax, and move forward in life.

Today, Darrell uses his experiences in military service, emergency medicine, disaster response, and personal healing to encourage and support others facing trauma, transition, and adversity.
